2020 CCG Easter Message - SURELY HE TOOK OUR PAIN AND BORE OUR SUFFERING

   Rev. Dr. Cyril G.K Fayose

Surely He took our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by god, stricken by him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5).

On behalf of our heads of churches, the Executive Committee, Staff and friends of the Christian Council of Ghana, I wish you a very happy Easter celebrations!

Embedded in the Easter message is an invitation to experience both the cross and the crown. You cannot have one without the other. There is no crown without the cross and vice versa.

Easter then presents us with a unique opportunity to bear our won crosses; to bear the pain and suffering of others of others; die a little for the transgressions and inequities of others; and suffer for the peace and healing of others.

Easter then presents us with a unique opportunity to bear our won crosses; to bear the pain and suffering of others of others; die a little for the transgressions and inequities of others; and suffer for the peace and healing of others.

If we sincerely bear these crosses then we shall surely experience a glorious resurrection morning; death and containment of Coronavirus; and many lives will be saved. After every night comes the dawn of a glorious morning, after sorrow comes joy and after every storm comes open blue skies.

Beloved in the Lord, may I seize this opportunity to wish you a blessed and wonder-filled Easter. May the faith, hope and love that the resurrection brings be yours now and always. Amen. Shalom
