2020 Christmas Message by Christian Council of Ghana
Rev. Dr. Cyril G.K. Fayose, General Secretary- Christian Council of Ghana
Ghana needs this celestial hymn and prayer more than ever before. Indeed, God will be glorified when there is peace and goodwill amongst us.
The year 2020 has been an interesting and a challenging one. The Covid-19 pandemic has turned the world upside down and changed every facet of our lives, leaving in its wake poverty, hunger and death. Although we had a largely smooth and peaceful polls, the aftermath has been unsettling and disturbing to say the least.
The heads of churches and organizations, the staff and friends of the Christian Council of Ghana join the angelic voices to pray for peace and goodwill in Ghana.
The council urges all Ghanaians, the Electoral Commission and leadership of all political parties especially; the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to join the heavenly host in singing prayerfully for peace and goodwill in Ghana.
We should not only pray and sing for peace and goodwill, we must also walk the talk, the hymn and the prayer.
Our political leaders and their followers should not do anything to jeopardize the peace that we enjoy in Ghana. They must rather express goodwill and love towards one another.
May the Coming years be fruitful and fulfilling.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year in advance!
Peace and Goodwill to all.
Signed
Rev. Dr. Cyril G.K. Fayose
