THANKSGIVING

Scriptural Text - Psalm 136, Mark 11:24

1. Thank God for the majesty of His creation and His providence for His own creation.

2. Thank God for the President: for the wisdom He has given him

3. Thank God for His protection, healing and deliverance

4. Thank God for His mercies, tender care and abundant love

REPENTANCE

Scriptural Text - Psalm 66:18, Isaiah 55:7, Isaiah 59:1-2

1. Confess the sins of the nation and the leaders of the nation

2. Confess the sins of the citizens of the nation

3. Confess the sins of the Church and the leadership of the Church in Ghana

4. Confess the sins of our families and ancestors.

5. Confess individual sins

PEACE AND PROSPERITY

Scriptural Text - Psalm 46, 1 Timothy 2:1-3

1. Thank God for the peace, stability and development in Ghana

2. Pray for the presence of the Lord at all polling stations across the country

3. Pray for all major stakeholders in the electoral process (i.e Returning Officers, polling officers, media, and observation and monitoring teams)

4. Pray for God's favour upon the nation before, during and after the elections

5. Pray for the Lord to build a protective wall around this country

6. Pray for the World Health Organization and researchers to have a breakthrough in discovering a vaccine.

DAY 2

THANKSGIVING

Scriptural Text: Isaiah 65:24, 1 Thessalonians 5:18

1. Thank God for a successful voter registration exercise

2. Thank God for successful elections in the past

3. Thank God for the unity and collaboration of the Church in Ghana

4. Thank God for the Church Universal

5. Thank God for all the political parties, their leadership and for a successful political campaign season devoid of hatred, foul language, animosity and violence.

REPENTANCE

Scriptural Text - Nehemiah 1:5-9, Psalm 86:5

1. Pray for forgiveness for the nation

2. Pray for forgiveness for occultic practices in the Church.

3. Pray for forgiveness for occultic practices in schools.

4. Pray for forgiveness for corruption and wickedness (rituals murders, brutal rapes, homosexuality etc.)

5. Pray for forgiveness for violence and shooting incidents.

PEACE AND PROSPERITY

Scriptual Text - Psalm 147:14, Jeremiah 29:7, Ezekiel 22:30

1. Pray for the unity, peace and stability of the nation

2. Pray for free, fair and peaceful elections

3. Pray for the Church to adapt new technologies to stay relevant in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic

4. Pray for behavioural change in the country.

5. Pray for the plans of God to be established in this nation

6. Pray for the leaders to take right decisions during this time of crisis

7. Pray for prosperity and economic growth

DAY 3

THANKSGIVING

Scriptural Text - Psalm 103:1-5

1. Thank God for the peace and prosperity in Ghana

2. Thank God for all His benefits

3. Thank God for the forgiveness of our sins and the sins of the world

4. Thank God for Healing us and the land

5. Thank God for redeeming our lives from the pit

6. Thank God for crowning us with love and compassion

7. Thank God for a successful completion of the school year and for the successful writing of BECE and WASSCE

REPENTANCE

Scriptural Text - Jeremiah 2:13, Hosea 6:1-3

1. Pray for forgiveness in terms of our relationship with God

2. Pray for forgiveness in terms of our interpersonal relationships

3. Pray for forgiveness for the shortful in fulfilling our stedwardship responsibilities

4. Pray for forgiveness for the sins of evildoers (armed robbers, murderers, rapists etc.)

5. Pray for forgiveness for corruption and bribery, cheating, gender-based violence, cyber fraud and reckless and irresponsible driving that leads to the carnage on our roads

PEACE AND PROSPERITY

Scriptural Text: Psalm 50:15, Isaiah 33:2

1. Pray that the Lord should restore those who have backslided in the faith

2. Pray that the Lord will deliver the Church from every attack that will slow its operation so that His children will have the liberty to glorify Him

3. Pray that God may grant us Supernatural deliverance that will put the doomsayers to shame.

4. Pray that the Lord will help us hold fast the confidence of our faith even in these difficult times

5. Pray for revival and the presence of God in Ghana

6. Pray for abundance in love for Him and one another

7. Pray that the Lord will stretch forth His hand to maintain peace before, during and after the elections.

Human Rights and Gender


The Council believes that the right of citizens, especially women, children and the disabled should be protected by all. In view of that, it works to ensure that there is respect for fundamental human right which includes the right to live, the right to education, the right to free speech and the right to movement with the view of ensuring peace. Council’s work in the area of HIV/AIDS, advocacy for Food Security and Worse forms of Child trafficking reflect the right based approach to its activities.
