APC Flagbearer Dr. Hassan Ayariga Calls on Christian Council


The flagbearer of the All People's Congress, Dr. Hassan Ayariga today paid a courtesy call on the Christian Council of Ghana, Osu-Accra.


The General Secretary of the APC, Mr. Mordecai, explained to the Council their purpose for the visit after they were welcomed by Mr. Oheneba Kofi Ntiamoah, the Director of Finance and Administration of at the Council. He further stated that his party will include the Christian Council of Ghana in their budget in order to support the council to continue with their good work it is doing for the country.

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Cyril G.K. Fayose further welcomed them to the Council and reiterated that politics is not meant for war, and that the Council is looking for people who will bring peace and development to the nation.

Rev. Dr. Fayose on behalf of the Council donated some sourvenirs of the Council to the Flagbearer and admonished him to promote peace before, during and after the upcoming polls..

Dr. Hassan Ayariga on his part introduced himself officially to the Council and thanked the Council for receiving them. He said, he will totally transform the country if he is given the nod in the upcoming General Elections on December 7.

Also in attendance were Mr. Kwame Bannor, Senior Accountant of CCG, Madam Veronica Acquah, Human Resource Manager, CCG Staff, supporters of the APC and the media.

Human Rights and Gender


The Council believes that the right of citizens, especially women, children and the disabled should be protected by all. In view of that, it works to ensure that there is respect for fundamental human right which includes the right to live, the right to education, the right to free speech and the right to movement with the view of ensuring peace. Council’s work in the area of HIV/AIDS, advocacy for Food Security and Worse forms of Child trafficking reflect the right based approach to its activities.
