Christian Council of Ghana Thanks Tobinco For Ecumenical Convention Support

The Christian Council of Ghana has thanked Mr. Samuel Amo Tobin, CEO of Tobinco Group of Companies, for his immense support towards the successful hosting of CCG’s first ever Ecumenical Convention, held in November 2025.
The expression of gratitude by CCG, was done at the office of Mr. Amo Tobin at his Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Center at the Spintex area in Accra.
CCG’s delegation was led by, Bishop Dr. Lawson Adjei, and included Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho, Chairman of the Planning Committee and Rev. J.G.K. Amuzu, Director of Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations of CCG.
Mr. Tobin was grateful to CCG for offering him the opportunity to contribute to the work of God, and pledged his continued support for future activities of CCG - especially the 2026 Ecumenical Convention scheduled for November.

The Council believes that the right of citizens, especially women, children and the disabled should be protected by all. In view of that, it works to ensure that there is respect for fundamental human right which includes the right to live, the right to education, the right to free speech and the right to movement with the view of ensuring peace. Council’s work in the area of HIV/AIDS, advocacy for Food Security and Worse forms of Child trafficking reflect the right based approach to its activities.
The Council connects with other Christian bodies such as the Ghana Pentecostal Council (GPC), National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC) and the Council of Independent Churches (CIC) to foster peace and advance social issues and Christianity.
